Let's send our thanks for continuing the K12 Online Project

CSLA would like to extend a thank you to all CSLA members that advocated for the continued access to K12 online content. We would also like to thank the leadership of Governor Newsom and our legislators. California students will continue to have access to the K12 online content which includes the Proquest Databases, Encyclopedia Britannica, and Teachingbooks.

California students are in need of reliable and credible sources as they learn to evaluate information. CSLA argues that in a time where information is more readily available through a variety of sources such as search engines and social media that being able to evaluate information and having the tools to do so is essential. The resources provided through the K12 online content project help teachers and students in these academic endeavors and prepares future citizens to have the tools to evaluate information they read.

Nick Glass and Deborah Ford-Salyer from Teachingbooks have created a form in order to easily send a thank you to Governor Newsom and the Legislators for their continued support of these important resources. Please take the time to send a thank you email using the directions outlined in this document.
