Thank you and Congratulations!

As we mark the end of the CSLA 2022 conference, we would like to give thanks to one of the directors of the California School Library Foundation (CSLF). David Rojas has completed his term of office and is owed heartfelt thanks for his contributions. David has served as a director since in 2018. He has been an enthusiastic and creative member, coming up with many ideas for fund-raising and offering a valuable perspective in our discussions and decisions. He shall be missed. To celebrate David’s good work, the foundation is happy to announce that we gave away a LEGO Education set (which he donated) to one lucky CSLA conference attendee who visited our booth!

We would also like to congratulate the two recipients of the CSLF Rosemarie Bernier Memorial Scholarship. We had so many outstanding. Kathrina Johnson (John Francis Polytechnic High School) is enrolled in the Master’s Degree program at San Jose State University, and Veronica Medina (Dodson Middle School) is working toward the Master’s Degree in Educational Technology & Media Leadership/Teacher Librarian Services Credential at CSULB. They were each awarded a $1500.00 scholarship to help them reach their goals.

Finally, we would like to congratulate our CSLA conference First-Timer awards to Julie Gipe (Ranchos Middle School) and Rebecca Flynn (RFK Community Schools). CSLF was happy to cover their conference registrations for their very first CSLA conference.
